Wrinkle Relaxers
Wrinkle Relaxers encompass a collection of three similar botulinum toxins: Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport. Each of these products provides a quick and simple way to relax the muscles that cause wrinkles in the face and neck, leaving your skin looking smoother and younger. The treatment takes less than 15 minutes and has no down time. Using needles no larger than acupuncture needles, injections are performed in the target muscles. The softening of muscle strength helps to treat dynamic wrinkles and prevent static wrinkles from ever forming. At Elevate Wellness Arkansas we’ll help you choose the right product and create a treatment plan to reveal your desired look and inner perfect.
A few injections can soften the appearance of crow’s feet, brow furrows, forehead and perioral lines, and even tighten the appearance of the neck. Wrinkle relaxers can also be used in the masseter muscle to help relieve TMJ pain, grinding and cause facial slimming.
Botox can also be used to treat Hyperhidrosis, which is a condition that results in excessive perspiration. Whether its excessive facial sweating, palms, soles, or underarms this treatment can dramatically reduce moisture for up to a year.
Filler
Using hyaluronic acid, a substance your body produces naturally, dermal fillers renew lost volume and plump lines for long-lasting, youthful-looking, and natural-feeling transformation.
Immediate, dramatic and long lasting results can be achieved in these areas:
- Lips
- Cheeks
- Nasolabial Folds
- Under eyes
- Smile lines
- Forehead and “11” lines
What to Expect
Based on your unique anatomy and skin goals, Elevate Wellness Arkansas providers will help you choose the most appropriate filler to achieve your desired look and feel. Our specialized, topical numbing cream will be used pre-treatment to ensure your comfort during injection. Length of treatment is dependent on surface area being injected.
Chemical Peels
There are various ingredients that can be used in chemical peels resulting in differing depths of peel and a spectrum of skin-transforming results. After an assessment of your skin, your provider will recommend which peel is best for your skin type and skin goals. Typically, medium-depth peels offer a very effective way to remove the signs of aging and sun damage from the skin without extensive downtime or recovery. The deeper a chemical peel penetrates the skin, the longer the recovery time will be, and the more you become at risk of experiencing potential side effects.
The primary benefits of a medium depth peel are:
- Smooth fine lines and wrinkles
- Improve overall complexion of the face
- Reduce acne scarring and assist with healing active acne breakouts
- Reduce the appearance of large pores
- Lighten areas of discoloration
- Assist with treatment of melasma
- Restores skin to a more healthy, youthful glow
What to Expect
The treatment is well tolerated and takes less than 30 minutes. Your provider will thoroughly cleanse your skin before the chemical peel is applied. Generally, 2-5 coats are applied for best results, followed by a moisturizing cream. You can go about your day following the treatment (with sun protection). You can expect to have dry, tight skin with some redness for 1-2 days following the treatment. Often, you will see areas of the skin turn darker prior to peeling, which will occur approximately day 3-7. When the old damaged skin has peeled away, you will be left with refreshed and glowing skin. Sun protection is extremely important following a chemical peel for at least 2-3 weeks. If necessary, some medium depth peels can be repeated every 4 weeks until desired results are achieved. Often, only one treatment is required.
You may not be a candidate for a chemical peel if you have any of the following conditions:
- Active cold sores or sunburn
- Lupus
- Eczema
- Rosacea
- Psoriasis Pregnancy/Breastfeeding
- Chronic skin disorders and dermatitis conditions
There are not a significant number of serious side effects associated with chemical peels. Some of the more minor side effects can include:
- Prolonged healing, permanent discoloration and infection are all possible if peeling skin is removed prematurely (by pulling and picking)
- Cold sores may appear if you are already susceptible to them
- Temporary swelling of the treated area
- Mild redness during healing
- Itching, especially with deeper chemical peels
